With approximately 500 hours of video being uploaded to YouTube every hour (Statista.com), it’s easy to feel hopeless adding another new video to that pile. A huge amount of people are uploading vlogs to YouTube at the same time with the hopes of starting a full series of vlogs (sometimes daily) and gain a following that wants to see what they’re doing in their day-to-day lives or hear their opinions. One of Many is a project that is meant to reflect this sea of content that just keeps getting relentlessly added to by equating each vlog posted to the platform with a title like “Vlog #1” to another message in a bottle thrown into a sea full of messages in bottles. The video shown is also designed to reflect the universal language many of these vlogs share. For example, the video highlights how many of them, regardless of language or country of origin, will start out with the subject saying “Hey Guys” in English, followed by some sort of animated introduction and an explanation of what they plan on
